I am…

I am…

one of the thousands of institutionalized young people who, at 18, must take life head-on. With your help, I can discover my path in life.

Through the “Life Plan” program, we encourage the social and professional integration of young people leaving the institutionalized child protection system.

At the age of 18, most of them are required to leave the state’s care and start living on their own. Often, they don’t have the preparation needed to face this huge challenge.

The Social Incubator selects each year young people leaving the child protection system who participate in an 8-month program, during which they are provided with housing and develop independent living skills.

Meet some of them below.

Documentary “Born at 18”

Aurel, Gabi, Noura, Elena, Marina, Fernando, Ionuț, Mihai, Iuliana, and Iulian. Ten young people like many others. Ten young people with dreams, passions, and a sparkle in their eyes.

Ten young people with the same opportunities as everyone else, right?

No. They are not like everyone else, and they do not have the same opportunities. For one simple reason: growing up in an orphanage is something that stigmatizes you.

Follow these ten as they attempt to live normal lives while simultaneously fighting against the prejudices society holds toward them.
